Okay, it’s a different Bachmann with two “N”s. Her name is Michele and she’s running for the GOP nomination next year in 2012. She officially kicked off her campaign today in Iowa.

I found this video that offers analysis on different media outlets’ perspectives of Bachmann’s potential as a presidential candidate. While she certainly appeals to a lot of conservatives, I’m not sure how well she’ll do at drawing the vote from the middle ground if she makes it past the primaries. Her views are extreme, and that can alienate Independents and conservative Democrats, who she’ll want to collect after the primaries. I hope you’ll consider embedding the video on your blog and then responding to it. Your opinion on her candidacy would be really informative.
